As we hit the end of July, it's probably time for a season update so far!
The club is going from strength to strength both on and off the field! With the First XI sat just 12 points off the promotion places and 26 points off top spot in Division 4b. The Second XI sit in third place in Division 7b in their quest for back to back promotions. Just 10 points off 2nd place and 15 off top spot.
Hopefully a successful end to the season for both Saturday sides is on the horizon!
Sunday's are going well too with some very good performances even if we are not getting the results that we want. They have been a great filler for players stepping up to Saturday league cricket in recent years so long may this continue.
Off the field we had our first ever Darts Night on Saturday 20th July. 18 players battling it out across two boards to see who becomes the first ever RCC Darts Champion. Luke Jackman was victorious over Ryan Howard in the final, running out a 3-1 winner. Evie Costick and Brandon Mayne were losing semi finalists!
England's successful run to the final in the European Championships saw the clubhouse bar being filled for matches. Busy enough for Martin to put up a new third screen for us to watch the action on! Multiple great evenings celebrating the Three Lions who just fell short in Berlin to a well drilled Spain Side. The bar is open on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer as well as selected Thursday's for Darts!
