WHAT A WEEKEND!
A fantastic weekend at King's College Road over the Late May Bank Holiday!
Starting with a double win Saturday for the first time in 2024 with the 1st XI taking victory by 4 wickets away to Beaconsfield 2s - Nik Mills with a magnificent 68 to help the 1s chase 180 to win!
The 2nd XI put on a score of 222 after being asked to bat first on what appeared to be a very bowler friendly pitch at home to Wooburn Narkovians 2s. Nikesh Chitalia with 56 from 91 balls sharing a 67 run partnership for the 3rd wicket with Jono Benstead who made a very important 43 from 50 balls.
The Race Night and Cup Final was a huge success for the club! A substantial amount of money raised to go towards new equipment for the club and maintenance! A great evening by all ending in some light karaoke and multiple shots of tequila rose being sunk at the bar!
Both Sunday games were rained off - the 1s disappointed to be forced off by the weather having reduced Wealdstone to 81/8 when time was called. The 2s abandoned without a ball being bowled away at Regals.
