Match report Great Opening Day win for the 2nd XI.
Alan lost the toss and Ruislip were put into bat by Harefield on a fairly green wicket.
A shaky start seeing Soham fall LBW and Jonah out for a duck left Ruislip 12-2 inside 7 overs. Some rebuilding by Jimmy, Alan and Mick left Ruislip 63-4 at drinks. A solid effort from all with the bat moved Ruislip onto a very reasonable 181-9 from their 40 overs.

Harefield came out to bat and lost their first wicket in the second over. Sam and Karthik opening the bowling with a Dukes that was swinging around corners. Some incredible bowling from Sam left Harefield at 27-5 early on, with Sam himself picking up Four wickets for Seventeen Runs in his 8 overs. Luke and Zaid replaced the two openers and bowled consistently, beating the bat ball after ball. Zaid finishing with figures of 6.3 overs, 4 maidens, 4 wickets for just 3 runs. A near perfect debut with the ball.
Ruislip bowled Harefield out for just 81 to complete an excellent display and picking up the first league win of the season!
